Hooker & Young - renowned for their beautiful photographic work and inspirational stage shows, are now bringing their creativity straight to you. This is an incredible opportunity for you to get up close and personal with this creative duo! We are excited to offer this amazing two day masterclass where you to create your very own photographic collection with Gary Hooker and award winning photographer Michael Young. They will mentor you every step of the way on choosing the right model, make-up artist and fashion stylist, as well as all the do's and don’ts it takes when it comes to creating an amazing collection.

You will get to see the Hooker & Young collections first hand and be guided on how to prepare yourself to create your very own work. Whether you want to print the images, use them on social media or display them in your salon, this two-day course will give you everything you need to know to get you started in the world of hair photography.

For your photoshoot we supply:

A professional model per salon team (max 2 people)
Photographer (Michael Young)
Clothes stylist and make-up artist
PR agency support to get your images published.
Two finished professional images you can use in-salon or on any publicity for your salon.
All working alongside Gary Hooker and Michael Young to get the best out of your day!

2 Day format

Day 1

• Morning - 10am to 11am

• Welcome - introduction - format / briefing - PP presentation (history of H&Y in pictures)

• 11am - break

• 11.30 - Putting a shot together

• 12pm - Model prep / Make-up, hair

• 12.30pm - lunch

• 1.30pm (afternoon session)

• Shoot brief for day 2 / model allocation - pictures only)

• 2.30pm - Photo shoot live (1 or 2 models) observation only

Day 2

• 4 / 5 models
• 4 / 5 teams of 1,2 or 3 people from each salon
• 1 M.U.A ( time slots allocated throughout the morning ) - may need assistant to speed the morning up.
• Clothes stylist (working to a brief)

9.30am
• Meet the team
• Meet the models / hair brief (styling only)
• Hair prep / Make-up

12pm
• First model to set

• All models to be shot with Gary as Art Director

• Each model will have a hair change for a second look (relatively quick changes - to keep with schedule)

• Finish for 6pm
